Rugged, durable and sturdy would best describe this new Redback® portable PA. The housing is manufactured from die extruded aluminium painted with a hard wearing powder coat finish.
With portability in mind the system is fitted with 'luggage' type trolley wheels and extendable handle.
The system is 'modular' in the sense that you can add 'components' to build the system up from the basic amplifier module. The unit can be enhanced by adding modules such as an MP3 player, UHF radio microphone, or tape deck up to a total of four modules. eg You may choose to fit 2 radio microphones, an MP3 player and a tape deck. This way, it can be configured to suit individual requirements.
The circuit includes the latest Class D amplifier design which exhibits very high efficiency, thus reducing the size of the internal batteries and hence overall system weight.

The backbone of the system is the amplifier module and battery power supply. This consists of two normal wired microphone inputs, both with volume controls and overall treble and bass. Separate master volume and treble and bass controls are provided for tailoring the sound of other modules when fitted. The battery charger / power supply will power the unit when away from 240V mains source. It will provide usable power for 6 to 8 hours. Additionally it is supplied with a 12VDC input, allowing operation from a car battery.
